Memmer Breaks Thur Again At The Burg08/22/2010
Memmer Racing returned to the high-banks of Lawrenceburg Speedway to resume the chase for the championship. With a new car ready to go, the team had high expectations for the evening. The heat race did not go all that well. After starting 5th, John finished 3rd in the heat. This secured a 9th place starting position in the feature. After the green flag flew in the feature, John started heading to the front. After gettinginto second, John almost spun the car out..... motor bogging down almost ready to stall, when he got hit, straightened the car out and the motor took off again. This put him back in 5th. John quickly worked his way to 2nd, and after the blown right-rear on the leading car, this put him in the lead... a position he would not give up! Goodyear was on the left-rear again this night.... and it was the second race on it. The first race for that tire..... was a WIN! Memmer Racing would like to thank Adam Love again for helping us out crewing on the car for the evening! No racing this coming weekend.... but next weekend will have Memmer Racing competing at Lawrenceburg on Saturday night and at the hometown track of Tri-State Speedway on Sunday. We hope to see you there!!

Two nights of racing at The Burg this past weekend08/09/2010
This past weekend had Memmer racing a double at the high-banks of Lawrenceburg Speedway. Saturday night was the regular weekly show. John won his heat.... in the redraw started on pole for the feature. During the feature, he slad back as far as third, but worked his way back to second and was giving Brady Short all kinds of pressure for the win. John would finish second on the night. John's dad and crew chief Brent said it was one of the best drives he has ever seen from John in a sprint car.... searching for the best line and driving great. John is still currently second in points championship. Sunday was the make-up feature for the rained out Mel Johnson Classic. Because the front panel popped off and forced John to retire from the heat, he would be starting in the B Feature. 25 laps for 1000 to win. John led the majority of the race. On a restart with about 5 laps to go, second place driver threw a slider on John.... John either had to lift or lose his front end..... he lifted and the car jumped the cushion, flipping 3 times before coming to rest upright. John banged his knee on the steering box and is ok.... the car needs to go to DRC for a going-over. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the pits to say hi this past weekend!

Memmer does it again at The Burg!!!08/01/2010
Saturday night had Memmer Racing competing at Lawrenceburg Speedway. The track was super smooth..... a rain delay of about 50 minutes and trucks rolling in the track helped make for a great racing surface. Kudos to Dave Rudicell and crew for a FINE track!!! John was scheduled to start 3rd in his heat... but then the polesitter elected to tag the tail this put him on pole. Once the green flag flew John checked out to a comfortable win! Lawrenceburg does a redraw for the top 6 starters. The redraw had John on pole! After the green flew, Memmer led every lap on his way to the feature win! Goodyear tires were once again awesome... and John mentioned this on the P.A. system. All in all a rather smooth night for Memmer Racing! Next week will have them at Lawrenceburg Saturday for the regular show then Sunday for the make-up feature from the Mel Johnson Classic. We hope to see you all there!!
